Al Serrano
Al joined Stifel in 2019 with nearly 18 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Stifel, he most recently worked with Gary Phelps at Morgan Stanley for seven years. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he gained a strong banking and lending background working for LaSalle Bank and PNC Mortgage. He leverages his experience to identify and develop tailored retirement income strategies for his clients. Al earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Roosevelt University and holds applicable securities registrations and insurance licenses. A long-standing member of the Barrington community, he has been a member and coach of Barrington Youth Football for nearly 15 years and has coached several youth basketball and baseball teams. Al has been married for more than 20 years and has two sons: the oldest is a student at Indiana University and his youngest attends Barrington High School. Al's hobbies include golfing, playing basketball, and fishing.

Gary L. Phelps
Drawing upon more than 20 years of investment industry experience, Gary develops and implements comprehensive wealth management plans by focusing on his clients' asset management, retirement planning, and estate planning needs. He leverages his knowledge and experience to work with his clients in developing a personalized retirement road map for his clients. Gary is committed to developing long-term relationships with his clients. He believes in listening twice as much as speaking, which enables him to gain an understanding of clients' goals, values, dreams, and concerns. In turn, he is able to help clients pursue their financial objectives. Gary enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, hiking, and watching and playing baseball. He and his wife, Sue, have been married for 28 years and have two children.
